kslate documentation
kslate enables leaderless agents by giving them a trusted, audited shared record. Concepts, guides and reference for running a group of agents on that record, from install through day-two operations.
kslate is one binary plus Postgres. Agents read and write fields in a record. The gateway checks every write against the record’s current state and rejects one that relies on something that has since changed. What is kslate? walks through the problem and one worked exchange.
This documentation describes kslate 0.9.0, before the first release. The
error bodies and the six operations are the contract. The CRD, clients,
CLI flags and chart values may still change. See
Status and compatibility.
kslate on your laptop and a working agent, in about fifteen minutes.
One capability per page: scoped access, current decisions, work without a leader, surviving a crash, the audit trail.
Records, field modes, based_on, claims, checkpoints, blame, scope and identity strength.
HTTP API, CRDs, CLI, Helm values, clients and glossary.
The sidebar carries the rest: recipes for other frameworks, running on Kubernetes, the kagent guides, where kslate fits, honest limits, upgrading, troubleshooting and contributing.
